Vouchers are upgrades that players can buy that help them out in runs. Normally they are direct buffs depending on what you’re running, they take up no space and can be just what you need that that moment. They help with money management, digging for hands, scaling, more hand size, deck fixing and more. Every voucher had 2 tiers, with the second tier only appearing after you have bought the first. Every shop has only one voucher at a time, which will change or restock when progressing to the next ante. You can have more show up per ante thanks to a voucher skip tag that has a chance of appearing.
It is important to consider if you should take a voucher or not, depending on if it will help you. Sometimes a run may have a voucher be not worth taking while other times it can super-charge a run. Whatever the reason is, I’ll list all the vouchers and say when you should consider taking them. I will put them next to their second tiers as they come in pairs of 16.
| Tier One Voucher (Appearance) | Tier One Voucher (Name) | Tier Two Voucher (Appearance) | Tier Two Voucher (Name) | Effects (Top: Tier One, Bottom: Tier Two) | Notes on each |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
![]() | Overstocked | ![]() | Overstocked Plus | +1 card slot available in shop +1 card slot available in shop | Very much worth grabbing as you can cycle through the shop faster without using many rerolls. Buying the voucher after you clear out the shop will restock the shop, so keep that in mind before you buy it. |
![]() | Clearance sale | ![]() | Liquidation | All cards and packs in shop are 25% off All cards and packs in shop are 50% off | Being able to save on money is huge plus. Insanely handy for saving money on money builds and maintaining interest but being able to buy more items. |
![]() | Hone | ![]() | Glow Up | Foil, Holographic, and Polychrome cards appear 2X more often Foil, Holographic, and Polychrome cards appear 4X more often | It’s whatever really. There are already ways for you to get effects that are more reliable and frequent. Mainly take to cycle through vouchers and get it out of the rotation. |
![]() | Reroll Surplus | ![]() | Reroll Glut | Rerolls cost $2 less Rerolls cost $2 less | A major help in cycling and digging through the shop and helps cut down on money being spent in the shop. Also have great synergy with Flashcard as more rerolls means it scales more. |
![]() | Crystal Ball | ![]() | Omen Globe | +1 consumable slot Spectral cards may appear in any of the Arcana packs | An extra consumable by itself is busted, allowing for more opportunities like more Blue Seal value, hold more useless Tarots to stop them appearing in packs and so on. However getting Spectral cards through packs gives a more reliable way to get Spectrals, it does mean that will see less Tarots as a result but by that point in the run, you can use other means to get them. |
![]() | Telescope | ![]() | Observatory | Celestial Packs always contain the Planet for your most played poker hand Planet cards in your consumable slot area give X1.5 Mult for their specific poker hand | For runs where you are mainly playing a single hand type or want to level up a certain hand, picking these up are a must. Having another means of X Mult on top of that is also really powerful, gains serious momentum with Perkeo. Packs are also not affected by holding the Planet card of that poker hand in your consumables doesn’t stall the packs from having that Planet card. Only time this isn’t useful is when running Obelisk as you want to avoid your most played hand. |
![]() | Grabber | ![]() | Nacho Tong | Permanently +1 hand per round Permanently +1 hand per round | Having extra hands every round has it’s benefits, mainly to scaling and money. Using more hands means more scaling and using less hands means more end of round money. |
![]() | Wasteful | ![]() | Recyclomancy | Permanently +1 discard per round Permanently +1 discard per round | Having extra discards means more digging for better hands and getting more mileage out of discard related Jokers like Delayed Gratification and Banner. Taking them on runs where you are not using discards like for Green Joker or have none with Burglar, then there’s really no point in taking it. |
![]() | Tarot Merchant | ![]() | Tarot Tycoon | Tarot cards appear 2X more frequently in the shop Tarot cards appear 4X more frequently in the shop | More Tarots means more deck fixing opportunities, money and enhancements. Always a joy to see this in the shop. Also helps scale Fortune Teller (cause God knows it needs it). |
![]() | Planet Merchant | ![]() | Planet Tycoon | Planet cards appear 2X more frequently in the shop Planet cards appear 4X more frequently in the shop | Not as desirable as it’s Tarot alternative but can still be useful in trying to find the Planets you want. It is amazing to get with Constellation, as you can get tons of scaling for it with the amount of Planets you get. |
![]() | Seeded Money | ![]() | Money Tree | Raise the cap on interest earned in each round to $10 Raise the cap on interest earned in each round to $20 | A straight upgrade to money. Very Much worth a grab if you can reach the new caps of $50 and $100 respectively. If you can’t then they kind of have no value but it’s on you to get value out of it by having better money management. |
![]() | Blank | ![]() | Antimatter | Dose nothing? +1 Joker slot | Blank is probably the most worthless voucher in the game. I will still always take it. Taking something that does nothing just to get a voucher that gives one of the strongest perks in the game. It’s also nice just to get it out of the rotation. |
![]() | Magic Trick | ![]() | Illusion | Playing cards can be purchased from the shop Playing cards in shop may have an Enhancement, Edition and/or Seal | Most of the time it’s never really worth taking as it bloats the shop and can lead to you getting less of Tarots, Joker Planets and Spectrals if you’re on Ghost Deck. Might be worth it if you are running something like Hologram but even then packs work just fine along with other Jokers like Marble Joker, DNA and Certificate. Only really take on endless just to get it out of the rotation. |
![]() | Hieroglyph | ![]() | Petroglyph | -1 Ante, -1 hand each round -1 Ante, -1 discard each round | Sometimes you might be struggling with the score and need time to scaling Planets or Jokers. If that is the case then there’s no harm in taking them but the risk of losing out on hand money and such may sting or isn’t viable. Black Deck I would especially avoid recommending taking this. |
![]() | Director’s Cut | ![]() | Retcon | Reroll Boss Blind 1 time per Ante, $10 per roll Reroll Boss Blind unlimited time, $10 per roll | Can be very situational but still worth a grab. The only other ways to counter a Boss Blind that kills your build is Chicot, Luchador and a skip tag, all of which are random to get. The vouchers are also random but Director’s Cut is more likely to appear than them. When you have it and there’s a boss that you don’t want, it feels so good to just say “Nah, I don’t feel like it” and skip it. |
![]() | Paint Brush | ![]() | Palette | +1 hand size +1 hand size | Overall, useful in most runs. Great for big hands as you can have more cards in your hand which means more likelihood to pull said hand. Good for smaller hands as you can hold more gold, steel and Blue Seals in your hand. |
